The Question
When I advocate based on research that equity is both visible and invisible, a fair question arises:
How do we make equity visible?
The Problem
I still cannot comprehend why organizations have a unit, department, or role titled “Diversity & Inclusion.”
- Is it a knowledge gap?
- Is it purely performative?
- Are they still stuck in the “evolution era” of D&I and comfortable there—because it looks good on the surface?

Dear Leaders
This is one of the lowest-hanging fruits you can address:
- Upgrade your D&I role and department to visibly include Equity.
- Then, begin to address the less obvious but far more impactful changes needed to achieve your strategic goals.
The Truth
Because at the end of the day—
Equity is Key.
