• Extensive construction site and project delivery experience
• A background in Quantity Surveying or Construction Project Management preferred

For an experienced project planning professional, this is an opportunity to lead the processes, reporting and people that help management make better project decisions.

Our client needs a department head who can connect project schedules, resource forecasts, risk information and performance data across teams.

The remit includes:

• Developing and improving project planning procedures
• Standardising schedules, templates and project reports
• Earned Value Management and resource forecasting
• Monitoring risks and procurement delays affecting critical milestones
• Supporting tender evaluation and project handover
• Coaching and mentoring Planning Engineers

Relevant background:

• HND/BSc in Engineering or Environmental Sciences
• At least 10 years in project leadership as a Project Manager or Project Control Manager
• Professional qualification relevant to project management/project controls
• Hands-on Primavera and Microsoft Project competence
• Capability with AutoCAD, Revit and data analytics tools
• Strong analytical, presentation and coordination skills

The role reports to the Executive Director, Engineering and Architecture. It is based in Port Harcourt, with periodic project site visits.
